The Suez Canal Water Conservancy Project – Segment Gears
In 2021,our company produced and delivered segmented gears with a diameter of φ18545mm, modulus m=48, which is used for Suez Canal Bridge project in Egypt.
Material is the skeleton for the machinery，while production design is the thought，CNC machining is the essence and heat treatment is the soul. In the production of segment gear, we strictly follow these procedures.
This represents the quintessence of Wangli Enterprise, and such quintessence has permeated every product!
Our company holds the belief that over 80% of the lifespan of mechanical parts is determined by thermal processing (steel-making, casting, forging, welding, and heat treatment). Based on this principle, we have implemented strict and scientific process control starting from the material forging blank of segment gears, throughout the processing procedure, and up to the heat treatment process.
The company’s leaders and technical personnel conducted research and comparisons for segment gears, as well as repeated experiments in our own heat treatment workshop, which minimized the deformation of the workpiece during processing. They controlled the deformation, maintained its strength and wear resistance at the maximum level of segement gears, significantly ensured the dimensional accuracy of the workpiece, and facilitated the processing.
Adhering to this principle, we have accomplished the segment gear project of the Suez Canal Bridge outstandingly with excellent mechanical properties: high wear resistance, high strength, relatively good toughness, and high-quality processing accuracy.
